Snakepit Rebels

Composed of Ubbe Rydeslätt (vocals), Anton Solli (guitar), Kricke Zetterqvist (guitar), Lasse Lekberg (bass) and Mats Rydeslätt (drums), Swedish rock action the Snakepit Rebels shaped in 1987. Using their visible appearance with their music the group owe a personal debt to Weapons N’Roses, most easily detectable in Ubbe Rydeslätt’s tortured vocals (his ‘day time job’ is usually that of owner of the tattoo parlour). The group’s musical power foundation is usually Solli, who prior to the formation from the Snakepit Rebels experienced worked broadly in Europe like a program guitarist. The group’s self-titled 1990 debut recording was given a complete European and a Japanese launch, where in fact the group possess consistently proved very popular. The follow-up, 1993’s Dustsucker, was documented in the legendary Abbey Street studios in Britain and included a dubious cover edition of David Bowie’s ‘Existence On Mars’.
