Emerging in the acoustic solo function of Myrtle Shore, South Carolina local Cayley Spivey, Small Speaks make introspective, guitar-based indie rock and roll. Spivey recruited two previous acquaintances to create the music group in 2015: a pal from middle college, Justin Charette (drums), acquired reached out towards the songwriter after hearing among her music; and Kenny Kelly (bass) acquired attended music college with Spivey before they reconnected through social media marketing. The trio started booking their very own shows over the East Coastline and receiving regional alternative radio enjoy before self-releasing their debut EP in January 2017. Atmospheric in audio and melancholy in build, Until It Transforms to Petals was found by L.A.’s Common Surface Information, which gave it a label discharge two months afterwards.
