Slutmagnet

Southern California pop/punkers Slutmagnet emerged in the past due ’90s as significant contenders for the NORTH PARK punk throne. Their crazy stage antics and outrageous, but listenable music produced a strong effect with enthusiasts of similar functions (blink-182, NOFX, etc.) which were garnering large record sales at that time. After developing in the middle-’90s, Slutmagnet (comprising Matt Magnet on business lead vocals and guitars, Andy Orgazm on drums, Felipe Durt on guitars, and Toby Wagon on bass) quickly self-released their only disk, Just Get rid of Me, on the Trinkets for me personally record label. The punchy, remarkably decent-sounding record produced the rounds in the punk underground, obtaining attention well beyond your group’s California stomping grounds. Slutmagnet couldn’t maintain very much momentum and didn’t issue another saving, effectively closing their short punk career. Nearly as obscure as punk gets, this group most likely deserved a bit more interest than they received.
