Slug

Slug may be the single project of Uk musician Ian Dark, a ex – touring person in angular indie rockers Field Music and a fixture from the Sunderland region indie scene because the early 2000s. Blending quirky, melodic electric guitar pop with sludge rock and roll, ’70s funk, and a range of various other eclectic influences, Dark documented his debut in 2014 with help from Field Music brothers Peter and David Brewis, who co-produced the record. Rounding out the ensemble are guitarist Rhys Patterson and bassist Andrew Lowther. Slug’s debut LP, Ripe, premiered in Apr 2015 by United kingdom indie Memphis Sectors.
