Sloth

Sloth was formed in 1999 from your remnants of cult doom metallic rings Godzilla and Mourn, and featured vocalist Gaz Ricketts, guitarist Roland Scriver, bassist Can Palmer, and drummer Vince Scriver. After producing its live debut starting for Soul Caravan in the Marquee Golf club, the quartet undoubtedly authorized with Lee Dorrian’s doom-specialized GO ABOVE label, and joined Backstage Studios in middle-2000 to get ready its ominously entitled first recording, The Tone of voice of God, with Orange Goblin maker Dave Chang. If they ultimately surfaced, the seven-track colossus they’d documented more than do their name justice, boasting a number of the slowest dirges and least expensive tunings inside the human hearing range.
