Slipstream was among the many tasks to emerge from your Spacemen 3 drone-rock camp — vocalist/guitarist Tag Refoy initial appeared around the Spacemen’s 1991 finale Recurring, and later on co-founded Spirtualized with Jason Pierce. Following the conclusion of the 1992 Spiritualized masterpiece Lazer Led Melodies, Refoy exited the group to create Slipstream, a far more pop-oriented concern also composed of fellow Spiritualized alum Jon Mattock on percussion aswell as guitarist Ian Anderson, bassist Steve New and drummer Steve Bes; the group debuted in the summertime of 1994 using the solitary “Sundown,” pursuing with some seven-inch produces before documenting their 1995 self-titled debut. A singles collection, UNWANTED EFFECTS, appeared later on that same 12 months, and in 1997 Slipstream released their second appropriate LP, Become Groovy or Keep.
