Biography

The band comprises Louise Wener (vocals, guitar), Jon Stewart (guitar), Andy Maclure (drums), Diid Osman (bass). Wener and Stewart fulfilled at while learning politics at college in Manchester, Britain. Relocating to London, both recruited Osman and Maclure and started playing Wener’s first tracks. The group produced its debut in 1993, which resulted in some positive reviews within the United kingdom music weeklies. By November of 1993, the group got released an unbiased one (“Alice in Vain”). In Feb 1994, the music group released “Swallow,” which charted in the very best 100; the next May, “Mouth watering” premiered and it became lots one indie one. During May, Sleeper backed Blur in the London band’s enormously effective Parklife tour. In Feb 1995, Sleeper released their debut record, Smart, which inserted the U.K. record chart at amount five as well as the indie chart at number 1; it might be accredited a silver record in four a few months. Smart premiered within the U.S. in March to reviews that are positive, however it didn’t duplicate the band’s United kingdom commercial achievement.
