Brooklyn lo-fi pop group Slam Donahue were formed in Wolcott, Connecticut in ’09 2009 by vocalist/guitarist David Otto and bassist Thomas Sommerville. Both self-taught musicians fulfilled in their youthful days and emerged together more than a distributed ravenous curiosity about the annals of pop music. In early stages, the duo bonded over their appreciate from the ’70s glam and pop information within their parents’ series and developed a kind of friendly competition within their songwriting, each crafting demos and attempting to raised the other’s hooks, melodies, or sonic energy. The group experienced various members prior to the primary duo transferred to Brooklyn this year 2010 and started playing out frequently and focusing on lo-fi demos because of their earliest songs. Pursuing their move, the primary members were joined up with by drummer Keenan Mitchell and spent a lot of time recording and composing new materials. The outcomes included the web mixtape of under-produced music Big House Fine Dreams in springtime of 2012 as well as the Hemlock Tea EP in August from the same calendar year.
