Pursuing in the footsteps of Dolly Parton and Reba McEntire, Skylar Laine is a nation singer with a lot of crossover charm, but unlike her predecessors, Skylar’s big break came by means of a reality tv program, American Idol. Given birth to and elevated in Brandon, Mississippi, Skylar was raised a lover of the outlaw audio, with Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, and George Jones all essential influences. As a teenager, she was attracted to a more modern audio including that of Miranda Lambert, whose way to popularity included an American fact television system, Nashville Celebrity. Skylar would follow the same route, becoming a member of 2012’s American Idol Time of year 11 after an audition in Houston, Tx. Performing tunes like Pistol Annies’ “Hell on Heels,” Dusty Springfield’s “Child of the Preacher Guy,” as well as the Encounters’ “Stick with Me” would bring Laine towards the semifinals, where she was removed, with Phillip Phillips becoming announced that season’s champion. Laine would continue to become listed on the American Idol 2012 Summer time Tour and launch her American Idol Time of year 11: Shows EP around the 19 Recordings label that same 12 months.
