As the citizen vocalist of trip-hop group Morcheeba, Skye Edwards’ instantly recognizable, even delivery was imperative to the band’s achievement. But following its 4th record, the group made a decision to have a sabbatical, departing Edwards with the required time to go after a solo task. Retreating to LA, she began creation and songwriting for the solo record and sketched out many tracks by using friends. With nearly a full record at hand, she acquired a possibility encounter with renowned manufacturer Daniel Lanois, which led to many collaborations. After very much refining and tweaking in Edwards’ indigenous London, Mind THE WAY YOU Go premiered in nov 2006 under her today shortened moniker, Skye.
