Sky Chefs

Sky Chefs is a smart and idiosyncratic indie pop task led by songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Dale Nicholls. As a kid, Nicholls learned to try out acoustic guitar from his mom, while his dad caused Desi Arnaz’s music group. A wandering minstrel of intelligent pop, Nicholls once was the leader from the critically acclaimed group Spy Isle. He has resided and worked well in Detroit, Michigan; Portland, Oregon; Paris, France: Dublin, Ireland, and elements of New Zealand before settling in LA and releasing his fresh group. Having a revolving lineup of music artists — including drummer Tabor Allen of Cherry Glazerr and Peter Adolescent of Loretta Lynn’s street music group — Sky Chefs started like a home-recording task. As the range of the preparations grew, Nicholls got his portable documenting setup to many makeshift locales, aswell as proper documenting studios in California. Chris Schlarb combined the material, as well as the self-titled debut recording from Sky Chefs premiered in March 2016. By enough time the recording premiered, Nicholls had currently begin writing another Sky Chefs recording which, with Schlarb in the producer’s seat this time around, was recorded reside in just two times. Released in Apr 2017, Spirits & Goblins presented stripped-down preparations and a looser experience than Nicholls’ debut.
