British DJ Dominic “Skiing” Oakenfull started mixing his “dozing jazz” in the first ’90s, playing in to the trends of acid solution jazz and following a reign of Gilles Peterson. Previously going from the moniker the K-Creative, Oakenfull authorized to Peterson’s Talkin’ Loud label while still in senior high school. He previously a short stint with Uncooked Stylus, but completely absorbed the home scene while combining issues up with Talkin’ Loud labelmates Galliano for the band’s 1988 debut 4. Because the ’90s advanced, Oakenfull caused various vocalist/songwriters including Valerie Etienne and finished several side tasks just like the compilation Sunlight Sunlight. By 1999, Oakenfull turned gears to totally concentrate on his debut, Existence Changes.
