Skating Club started in 1999, the personal project of documenting studio man Aubrey Anderson. Anderson ultimately tapped some pals to try out alongside him, and by 2 yrs later on the fledgling romantic pop group was carrying out occasionally throughout Boston, and experienced released its self-titled debut around the Rhode Isle indie Wishing Tree. Some gigs using the re-formed Objective of Burma upped the profile of Skating Membership, which by this aspect contains Anderson performing and playing electric guitar, drummer Kenneth Bernard, tips guy Matt Smith, and bassist Colin Rhinesmith. (Although Club’s lineup would fluctuate around Anderson, this is probably the most solid approximation.) Pests and Bouquets, the band’s sophomore work for Wishing Tree, was built from traditional, in-studio periods in addition to equipment of work documented outdoors and around city. It was released with the label in July 2003.
