Skankin’ Pickle

San Francisco-based ska-punk sextet Skankin’ Pickle was shaped in the springtime of 1989 by vocalist/saxophonist Mike “Bruce Lee” Recreation area, guitarist Lynette Knackstedt, bassist Ian Miller, trombonists Lars Nylander and Gerry Lundquist, and drummer Chuck Phelps. Developing their very own label, Dill Information, the group released some LPs including 1991’s Skafunkrastapunk and 1992’s Sing Alongside Skankin’ Pickle before disbanding within the wake of 1996’s The Green Record; Park later produced the B. Lee Music group and in addition helmed the Asian Guy label.
