Indie electro-rock futurists 6 Finger Satellite shaped in Rhode Isle in 1992. Originally made up of vocalist/keyboardist J. Ryan, guitarists John MacLean and Peter Phillips, bassist Chris Dixon, and drummer Rick Pelletier, the group shortly released their Sub Pop label debut EP Tool, implemented in 1993 with the full-length The Pigeon May be the Most Popular Parrot. Both Phillips and Dixon had been gone in the band by enough time of 1994’s Machine Food 10″, documented exclusively with digital instruments; bassist Adam Apt agreed upon on for the follow-up, 1995’s Serious Publicity.
