Sivu

Beneath the name Sivu, British singer/songwriter James Web page writes and information sophisticated, often darkly toned indie pop. Blessed in St. Ives, Cambridgeshire, Web page spent his teenage years playing bass in indie and punk rings, eventually shifting to London to broaden his musical horizons. Inspired by pop mavericks like Björk and Beck, he previously already started to work silently on solo materials when in 2011, he crossed pathways with Alt-J’s manufacturer Charlie Andrew. Both struck up a camaraderie and began functioning together, documenting Sivu’s debut one, “Better Man Than He,” that was backed by an inventive music video of Web page singing the melody from in a MRI machine in London’s St. Bart’s Medical center. The discharge of the 2013 EP known as I Shed Myself and a handful of various other singles drew evaluations to performers like Outrageous Beasts, Gotye, and Alt-J, the last mentioned of whom recruited Web page for a visitor i’m all over this their 2014 record THAT IS All Yours. His debut record, Something on Great, arrived in Sept 2014.
