Though they are actually referred to as Sisters of the Sunshine Vapor, the Ypsilanti, MI trio was originally formed beneath the name SikSik Nation. The trio, comprising guitarist and vocalist Sean Morrow, bass participant Eric Oppitz, and drummer Rick Sawoscinski, experienced in the beginning pursued a harder blues-rock sound. In 2008, they released Eight Designs towards the Unholy beneath the SikSik Country moniker before making a decision it was period for a transformation. The band begun to explore a darker, even more atmospheric audio, tempering their blues with looser garage area/psych. The outcomes of their sonic tests would bear fruits in ’09 2009 when the music group transformed their name and released their initial record under their brand-new moniker, the self-titled Sisters of the Sunshine Vapor.
