Sirsy

Sirsy can be an Albany, NY rock-band that plays contemporary rock and roll with anthemic blues-inspired performing thanks to vocalist Melanie Krahmer. The music group was shaped in 2000 by Krahmer alongside bassist Wealthy Libutti, drummer Greg Nash, and guitarist Mike Steiner, but ultimately became a duo of Krahmer and Libutti. (The name Sirsy originated from a years as a child nickname of Krahmer, whose young sister couldn’t quite pronounce “sister.”) Originally the group played out covers, but ultimately began writing first material. The very first discharge for the hard-working work was Baggage, released in 2000. Their following discharge came 2 yrs later, From Here, and discovered the band additional refining their groove-oriented pop audio. That same season saw Sirsy to push out a three-song Dvd movie, The Three Small Videos, along with a live record, AT THE MOMENT (Live). Ruby made an appearance in 2004, released by Sirsy’s very own label and made by Krahmer and Libutti alongside John Delehanty. The next year brought a set of albums, initial Covered and Uncovered. After 2007’s Trend, the duo released just 2010’s live record BYOB: Collection B, but continuing touring hard and using a number of rings, including Maroon 5, Cheap Technique, Blues Traveller, and Collective Spirit. For 2013’s Getting into Frame for the Funzalo label, Sirsy enlisted A-list suppliers Paul Kolderie and Sean Slade.
