Originally the brainchild of Pale Divine bassist John Gaffney, Allentown, PA’s Sinister Realm began acquiring shape in 2008 using the recruitment of vocalist Alex Kristof, guitarists John Kantner and Keith Patrick, and Pale Divine drummer Darin McCloskey, however the latter pair will be replaced simply by John Risko and Chris Metzger following a recording from the band’s eponymous debut album. This recording unveiled today’s update for the classic rock aesthetic, with periodic detours into doom (believe Manowar, Dio, Candlemass, etc.), and premiered by Darkness Kingdom Information in Oct 2009.
