Biography

Most referred to as the Cocteau Twins’ bassist from 1984 until their break up, Simon Raymonde, the son of noted pop songwriter and arranger Ivor Raymonde, in fact lower his teeth in Drowning Craze, a short-lived post-punk group in Situation Two that released a trio of singles just before disbanding. After spending over ten years as an essential cog within the Cocteau Twins’ machine, Raymonde and previous bandmate Robin Guthrie create the Bella Union label release a several information by like-minded works. He also became significantly active with creation responsibilities, twiddling knobs and offering assistance for Bella Union performers the Czarz, the Autumns, Lift to see, and Rothko, along with the past due Billy Mackenzie. Raymonde spent some time working sporadically along with his personal musical endeavors; he wrote, created, and played several devices for Nanaco’s past due-’90s recordings and released the single record Blame ANOTHER PERSON in 1997 on Bella Union.
