Simon Bonney

As the business lead singer of Criminal offense & the town Answer (which featured several ex-members from the PARTY), Bonney was a significant figure within the Australia’s post-punk picture. By himself, he’s relocated to a very much rootsier, much less gothic angst-infused audio. A lot of that change is because of his relocation to america, where he hung out with L.A. country-influenced rockers who experienced used Dwight Yoakam and Accurate Believers. His two single albums had been lyrically influenced by American scenery, sounding sometimes like post-modern assumes the audio of Johnny Money or Marty Robbins. Bonney, nevertheless, by using his multi-instrumentalist wife Bronwyn Adams, runs on the much wider selection of sounds than Money, including mandolin, violin, dobro, metal acoustic guitar, keyboards, cello, and horns.
