Silver Swans

Acquiring their name from a figure in the sweetness Woman comics, San Francisco-based duo Silver precious metal Swans began producing soft and sweet electronic pop together in 1997. Vocalist Ann Yu of the group LoveLikeFire and multi-instrumentalist Jon Waters began focusing on one melody together, but shortly turned that right into a even more steady task. That melody, “Realize the Ghost,” premiered as an individual in ’09 2009 on Tricycle Information and was accompanied by an eight-song EP from the same name, for the same label, this year 2010. The duo self-released another EP, Secrets, that calendar year, then took time off before coming back in past due 2011 to pay a Fleet Foxes monitor, “He Doesn’t Understand Why,” and producing a tiny splash using their cover of Lana Del Rey’s “VIDEO GAMING” in early 2012. Their full-length debut record, Forever, further enhanced their slickly created audio on its discharge in 2012. By enough time of their 2013 record, Contact, on Twentyseven, the duo acquired added some chilly Chromatics-style disco with their audio and produce their most interesting discharge to date.
