Siinai

A Finnish instrumental space rock and roll/shoegaze quartet with serious Krautrock tendencies, Siinai were initially formed in 2007 beneath the moniker Joensuu 1685 throughout the abilities of siblings Markus and Mikko Joensuu. The trio, which also highlighted Risto Joensuu (no relationship), released an eponymous studio room record in 2008 before officially transitioning to Siinai this year 2010. The recently minted quartet released their debut record, Olympic Video games, in 2011. The next year noticed Siinai dealing with Wolf Parade mastermind Spencer Krug on his most recent Moonface task. The causing Heartbreaking Bravery premiered in Apr 2012 via Jagjaguwar. In 2014, the music group released their sophomore long-player, Supermarket, and in 2016 they going back to the studio room with Krug and released My Best Individual Encounter, their second Moonface cooperation.
