Signorello

The music of (John) Signorello (b. 2/1/66, NY, NY) is similar to one big shrine created to the deities from the big-band and lounge eras of way back when. A long background of participation in music (playing electric guitar, trumpet and piano, aswell as performing) progressed into a concentrate on neo-swing in the middle ’90s. Recalling the playfullness of Ella Fitzgerald using the design of Sinatra and Bennett, both his debut record, 1996’s Signorello and his follow-up on Bob Information, Martini Dance, released in 1999, present a skill for adapting the criteria and composing brand-new originals in the swinging design. Signorello’s business lead vocals and bandleading provide a center point for several talented supporting music artists. Now orbiting nearer to the DC region, in 1999 Signorello started work on another record which will concentrate more highly on new, primary songs.
