Sick Sad World

Olympia-born Seattle resident (and Daria fan) Jake Jones started Ill Sad World following leaving Xmas and Arrington de Dionyso’s Malaikat Dan Singa. Rather than continuing to create heavier, more difficult music, Jones made a decision to make even more stripped-down pop tunes, equipped with a drum machine, acoustic guitar, and four-track recorder. He put together a carrying out lineup of Ill Sad Globe in 2012, as well as the group started gigging around Seattle, starting for Parquet Courts, Naomi Punk, while others. Jones documented the debut Ill Sad World recording, Fear and Lays, at Dub Narcotic Studio room, saving hours of music by himself by using engineer Ben Hargett, after that honing each music right into a nugget of grimy, surfy sound pop. DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR Information released the recording in Apr of 2015.
