“LAY OUT Your Weapons, OCCUPY Musical Tools,” the music that Okinawan guitarist, vocalist, and composer Shoukichi Kina thought we would perform in the Cultural Olympiad in the Olympics in Atlanta in July 1996, summed up his beliefs.
