“LAY OUT Your Weapons, OCCUPY Musical Tools,” the music that Okinawan guitarist, vocalist, and composer Shoukichi Kina thought we would perform in the Cultural Olympiad in the Olympics in Atlanta in July 1996, summed up his beliefs. Since 1968, when he created his music group Champloose, Kina offers offered a musical tone of voice for Okinawan and environmental issues. Among the first to mix traditional Asian music with rock and roll and reggae affects, Kina is constantly on the make use of his music to create the Asian and Traditional western worlds closer collectively.
