Shotstar

Equally inspired simply by ’60s classic rock and power pop heroes from the ’70s and ’90s, Tuscon, AZ’s Shotstar formed in 2000 when singer/guitarist Andrew Taillolc and bassist/singer Tobin Watkinson began writing and recording songs jointly. Drummer Daniel Boutin and guitarist/vocalist Eric Hoskin became a member of immediately after, fleshing out the band’s Beatles-meets-Costello-meets-Weezer audio. After gigging locally and regionally, Shotstar agreed upon a cope with the Chicago-based label Downfall and a distribution contract with the neighborhood imprint Sunset Alliance. In middle-2002, the music group released their debut EP, The actual Hell Is Rock and roll n’ Move?, and spent all of those other calendar year touring with serves like Superdrag and Ben Kweller and focusing on their first record.
