Shots

Shaped in Yorkshire, England in 1965, the Shots made up of Mick Rowley (vocals), Mal Luker (guitar), Phil Peacock (rhythm guitar), John ‘Zeke’ Lund (bass) and Geoff Gill (drums). They secured a slot machine on a modern package deal tour headlined by P.J. Proby, before decamping to a mansion in Essex in the behest of their millionaire supervisor, Alan Brush. Right here he erected a marquee and p.a. program specifically for rehearsals. The Photos’ lone solitary, ‘Maintain A YOUR HANDS ON What You’ve Got’/‘She’s A Liar’, was released on Columbia Information in 1965. This punchy, garage-style launch was made by Monty Babson, however when it didn’t sell the group deserted their benefactor and came back to Yorkshire. In 1966, and with Peacock right now in absentia, the rest of the people re-established their connection with Babson under a fresh name, the Smoke cigarettes.
