The former moniker of BEAUTIFUL Information artist Artemis during his stick to the Renegade label, this drum’n’bass producer followed a fairly traditional way to his rather untraditional position among the more acclaimed artists mixed up in innovative realm of downtempo drum’n’bass. Delivered simply because Oliver Lomax, this kid prodigy started piano lessons at age six before shifting to orchestral brass musical instruments, specially the French horn. After executing in several philharmonic orchestras, Lomax signed up for the Harrow College for Young Music artists and then ultimately won a sought after place in the London University of Music’s renowned music technology plan in 1994. Along with his sound-engineering level, Lomax began creating drum’n’bass as Shogun, launching information for the Renegade label. Shortly he became a member of the rates of LTJ Bukem’s BEAUTIFUL Information label and noticed his compositions released for the label’s acclaimed Globe series. As well as the Globe series, Lomax in addition has contributed towards the label’s downtempo sublabel, Cookin’ Information.
