After helping form the Dayton Family with Bootleg, Shoestring performed an initial role within the group’s quick success inside the Midwestern hardcore rap underground. However, the group’s quick achievement came to a finish pursuing their second record, F.B.We., once the group came across numerous issues with regulations. Despite these road blocks, Shoestring continued to indication with Tommy Boy and released his single debut, Representin’ Right up until the planet Ends, in 1999. However when the record didn’t satisfy Tommy Boy’s goals, the Flint, MI, rapper shortly found himself with out a label offer. In early 2001, he agreed upon with Detroit rapper Esham’s Overcore label and released his second record, Combination Addicted, an record that discovered him time for his street-level root base.
