Shock Machine

Surprise Machine may be the hazy electronic pop task of Wayne Righton, most widely known for his use nu-rave pioneers Klaxons. Righton’s dad, also a musician, motivated him to try out in rings while he was still in senior high school, and his commitment ultimately paid with Klaxons’ achievement in the middle- to past due 2000s. When the group disbanded in past due 2014 following the launch of their third recording, Like Frequencies, and a farewell tour, Righton started focusing on his personal music beneath the Surprise Machine moniker. The March 2016 “Surprise Machine” single provided the first flavor of his atmospheric sound in March 2016, which he extended on using the START the Sky EP later on that year.
