Actress and vocalist whose state to popularity was the tambourine-playing mom, Shirley Partridge, within the Partridge Family members, where she starred with her stepson David Cassidy. Shirley Mae Jones was created in Pa; Paul and Marjorie Jones called their only kid after the precious and popular Shirley Temple. Jones started her singing profession at age six within the Methodist Chapel Choir and got tone of voice lessons from Ralph Lewando. She went to the Pittsburgh Playhouse in 1952 and continued to NY in 1953. It had been right here that she got her 1st musical part on Broadway like a nurse in South Pacific.
