This ‘girl group’ originated from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA. It had been formed in the first 60s by Small Joe Make, who experienced sung the strike solitary, ‘Peanut’, as business lead in his group the Thrillers in 1957. The Sherrys contains his two daughters, lead Delphine Make and Dinell, his niece Charlotte Butler, and a pal of girls Delores ‘Honey’ Wylie. Their 1st record, ‘Pop Pop Pop-Pie’ (US R&B quantity 25 and pop quantity 36 in 1962), was a light-weight song, but since it came out amid a Philadelphia-manufactured dance trend the record became a nationwide hit. ‘Slop Period’ (1963) was the similarly banal follow-up. The group split up quickly later on, but Charlotte Butler later on wedded a Swedish rock and roll ‘n’ roll celebrity and made an appearance with her spouse independently television show.
