Sheriff

This Canadian melodic rock quintet was formed in 1981 by Arnold Lanni (vocals, keyboards) and bass player Wolf Hassel (bass). By adding Freddy Curci (vocals), Steve De Marchi (electric guitar) and Rob Elliot (drums), they agreed upon to Capitol Information and released a self-titled debut the next year. Their strategy was seen as a grandiose, sweeping melodies that drew motivation from Kansas, Foreigner and Styx, but with a smattering of their very own suggestions to authenticate the music. The album didn’t attract the mass media’s attention as well as the music group members parted firm. Lanni and Hassel afterwards produced Frozen Ghost, while Curci and De Marchi teamed up in Alias. In 1988, quite unexpectedly, ‘When I’m With You’ in the debut Sherriff record became lots 1 US strike 5 years after it first charted (at amount 61). The record was re-released and in addition did well; leading to pressure to re-form Sherriff. Lanni and Hassel dropped as they maintained the rights towards the name and wished to continue with Frozen Ghost.
