Sherbet were Australia’s most widely used pop band of the 70s with 20 consecutive strike information and 17 recording, accounting for 10 platinum and 14 platinum disc honours. In 1969 the Sydney entertainment picture was nearly totally intended for fulfilling the money-rich comfort-starved American Vietnam soldiers who arrived for standard Rest And Entertainment. In July 1976 the group’s 8th national top strike “Howzat” became their 1st number one, closing Abba’s record breaking fourteen week at the very top with “Fernando.” Sherbet’s recording of the same name because the strike also made number 1, also changing Abba. The “Howzat” solitary premiered in Britain where it produced Top 10, was popular in a number of countries in European countries and South East Asia, and in addition received considerable airplay across America. Sherbet right now set their places on conquering all of those other globe. In June 1978 they documented their seventh studio room album in LA. On the insistence of RSO Information Sherbet transformed their name to Highway.
