Her name may possibly not be instantly recognizable, but nu-disco diva Shena has provided the vocals to get more U.K. dance strikes than every other artist within the last 15 years. Blessed Tracey Elizabeth McSween in Reading, Berkshire in 1971, Shena started singing young, executing solos in her gospel choir before participating in the Royal Academy of Music, where she graduated with honors. Initial showing up in Mama I wish to Sing with Chaka Khan, she proceeded to go onto star in a number of musicals including Jesus Christ Superstar, Carmen Jones, and Just what a Sense. Turning her attentions to pop music, she became a support vocalist for famous brands James Dark brown, Mariah Carey, and Lisa Stansfield. In 1995, she supplied the vocals for JX’s Best 20 strike “You Participate in Me,” which began a work of 14 graph entries that she received credit on, including Alex Gaudino’s “LOOK OUT,” Michael Gray’s “The Weekend,” and Jurgen Vries’ “Wilderness.” After experiencing solo success for the worldwide membership/PA circuit, she started focus on her very own material, by using producer and hubby James Winchester. In ’09 2009, she released her debut record One Man Girl, featuring airplay strike “Can’t Prevent the Rainfall,” through No Prisoners Information. The follow-up, 2079, offering three paths from her debut, premiered a year afterwards.
