Between your years 1976 and 2000 — years that bridge the gap with time from Howard Devoto’s departure from Buzzcocks to the entire year where Devoto and fellow Buzzcocks founder Pete Shelley began operating together for another time — Shelley, since it is well-known, continued with Buzzcocks on through another century having a breakup period that lasted a lot of the ’80s.
