Shelley Neill

Musically a later bloomer and possessed with an appealingly husky and romantic voice, educator and vocalist Shelley Neill is now a performing staple within the Boston area. Neill provides examined with such nationally known jazz music artists as Sheila Jordan, Jay Clayton, John Blake and Ted Dunbar. Sathima Bea Benjamin, Sheila Jordan, Costs Evans, and Mls Davis have already been cited by Neill as main affects. In 1998, she opened up for Stanley Turrentine on the Boston Jazz Culture 25th Anniversary Calendar year Summer Jazz Celebration. Through the ’90s, she frequently performed at such Boston jazz locations as Ryles, Bob the Chef’s, Sandrina’s Jazz Café, Bullfinch’s, among others. In 1999, she was among simply ten performers to get an artist offer program in the Boston Cultural Council. Attempting to maintain creative control over her function, Neill provides released two albums under her Boston-based Cobalt Blue Information.
