Multi-instrumentalist, regular sideman, sound engineer, and songwriter Scotty Leitch styles warm, ambling indie country-rock along with his quasi-acoustic single project Shelf Existence. Hailing from Coatesville, Pa and located in Philadelphia, Leitch created the short-lived acoustic music group Pirouette in 2006, accompanied by the mathematics rock-leaning Small Pirouettes in the first 2010s, amid regular function in other rings. Using the moniker Shelf Existence, he self-released 2013’s Facing the correct way at the incorrect Period EP, and 2014’s Accurate Blue EP, a couple of lo-fi country-folk tunes. Continuing going to the studio room and stage as an operating musician, including playing drums for lo-fi indie popster Alex G, he shortly constructed Shelf Life’s debut full-length. Citing affects from Ween and Pinback to PROPERTY, he released the craggy, introspective Everyone Make Pleased with Lefse Information in Sept 2015.
