The brand new wave and vintage jangle pop-loving combo Sheer Agony were formed this year 2010 by two members from the Montreal band Play Guitar, Jackson MacIntosh and Christian Simmons. The duo experienced already started building their own house studio and made a decision to work on documenting MacIntosh’s angular, power poppy tunes there. An individual, Hungry, Why Wait around, was released in early 2011 as well as the duo started playing shows by using bassist Markus Lake from the music group Sterling silver Dapple. With Lake right now in the music group full-time, they self-released a four-song EP, The Unruly Sisters, in early 2012, a self-titled 7″ for Fixture Information later in the entire year. They continuing playing displays while dividing their period working with additional rings: Simmons with one another, Hands Cream, and Lantern; MacIntosh with Jef Barbara and Homeshake. In addition they added drummer Greg Napier of CONSIDER Life towards the lineup. In 2014 they added a melody, “THOSE THAT Wait,” to meet up the Stock, a compilation of Montreal performers on Plastic Stock Information. Meanwhile, they remained active touring and focusing on an album. Few Skate Information agreed upon them up and in past due 2015 released the group’s cheekily entitled debut LP, Masterpiece.
