Shapes of Race Cars

An indie music group away of Silverlake, CA, that mixes a garage area rock advantage with radio-friendly melodies and a grunge sensibility, Styles of CARS were shaped after singer, guitarist, and songwriter Dylan Callaghan dissolved his earlier band, Champ, and began dealing with bassist Dale Zyla and drummer Josh Grolemund. The trio self-released the Apocalypse Hurts EP (composed of what the music group conditions “bedroom demos”) in 2005 and garnered a great deal of regional airplay and essential press for this, chasing it up having a full-length recording, Power, documented at Sizzling Pie Studios in Pasadena with maker Jun Murakawa, on Tiger Group Information in 2007. Soon after the recording premiered, the band extended to a quartet with the help of guitarist and history vocalist Chas Smith.
