b. c.1967, London, Britain. Born of United kingdom and Sri Lankan parentage, Jayasinha got to music young and later researched on the Guildhall College of Music and Dilemma. During this time period, his playing of trumpet and flügelhorn drawn considerable interest and with the Guildhall Jazz Music group, in 1987, he performed on Walk Softly. Since his graduation Jayasinha continues to be very occupied playing in various contemporary jazz groupings, generally in London, aswell as showing up with pop and Latin performers. Among music artists with whom he provides played and occasionally documented are Alfredo ‘Delicious chocolate’ Armenteros, Gilad Atzmon, Man Barker, Randy Brecker, Patrick Clahar, John Crawford, John Etheridge, Clare Foster, Frank Emilio Flynn, Tim Garland, Michael Garrick, Ruben Gonzales, Ingrid Laubrock, Vanessa Mae, Enthusiast Enthusiast Mose, Courtney Pine, Roberto Pla, Gerard Presencer, Jason Rebello, Jean Toussaint, Karen Tweed, Mônica Vasconcelos, Cleveland Watkiss, Bobby Watson, Bobby Wellins, Annie Whitehead, Steve Williamson and Alex Wilson. Jayasinha’s curiosity about globe music was significantly expanded through an extended association he has already established using the Grand Union Orchestra and with Gregori Schechter’s Klezmer music group. He has performed in Columbia, executing at the Celebration International De Jazz De Teatro Libre, and Cuba, using Guillermo Rubalcaba’s Charanga Music group. Among UK salsa and Latin rings with which he provides played is certainly Manteca, documenting Tremendo Boogaloo in 2007. In the first 00s, he produced his own globe jazz group, a jazz quintet he called ShantiJazzWorld, launching his debut record for Candid Information past due in 2007. Furthermore to his extremely busy performing timetable in the countless genres he addresses, Jayasinha, who also sometimes plays other musical instruments, especially percussion, functions on educational tasks.
