Shannon Lawson

Blending nation and bluegrass with healthy part servings of blues and rock and roll & move, singer/songwriter Shannon Lawson was created in Taylorsville, KY, in 1973. Lawson’s family members was filled with amateur music artists who had regular picking sessions in the home, and he initial started trying his hands at his uncle’s electric guitar at age group four; 3 years afterwards, he got a nylon-string acoustic of his very own. In senior high school, Lawson produced a rock-band, but plus a slew of hard rock and roll addresses, he threw in twangier quantities by John Anderson or the Eagles towards the setlists. After graduating from senior high school, Lawson relocated to Louisville to wait university and in his freshman season, he have scored a gig with an area blues action (most of whom had been African-American, aside from Lawson), initial playing lead electric guitar and adding business lead vocals to his resumé. After a few years, Lawson still left the music group and started playing Louisville’s coffehouses being a single acoustic act; in a short time, he installed using a bluegrass music group known as the Galoots plus they shortly developed a separate local following because of their high-energy combination of acoustic nation and blues. The Galoots released two effective self-distributed albums, as well as the group acquired a supervisor, Mandy Snider, who created a particular desire for Lawson; both fell in like and would ultimately marry.
