Formerly referred to as Spider, they changed their name to Shanghai in 1981 in order to avoid confusion using the other groups using the same name at that time. Putting your signature on to Chrysalis Information, the music group comprised Amanda Blue (vocals), Keith Lentin (electric guitar), Beau Hill (keyboards, ex-Airborne), Jimmy Lowell (bass) and Anton Fig (drums). They debuted using a self-titled record in 1982, a key pad dominated, melodic pop rock and roll opus that received favourable testimonials during release. The music group shortly splintered with Hill getting into the creation aspect, Anton Fig caused Glen Burtnick and Amanda Blue began a solo profession under the assistance of Gene Simmons.
