Shakin’ Street

This rock ‘n’ roll quintet was influenced from the Stooges, Rolling Stones and Blue ?-yster Cult, and took their name from a song from the MC5. Shaped in Paris, France, in 1975 by Fabienne Glow (b. Tunisia; vocals) and her songwriting partner, Eric Leví aka Eric Lewy (b. Eric Jacques Levisalles, 1955, Paris, France; acoustic guitar/vocals), the music group was finished by Mike Winter season (bass), Armik Tigrane (acoustic guitar) and Jean-Lou Kalinowski (b. 1959, Paris, France; drums). Putting your signature on to CBS Information, they debuted in 1978 with the common Vampire Rock, an array of mainly up-tempo rockers, significant only for Glow’s uncommon vocals. Ross ‘The Manager’ Funicello (b. Ross Friedman, NEW YORK, NY, USA, ex-Dictators) changed Tigrane for the next recording. Released in 1980, this is a massive improvement, having a denser audio and even more abrasive guitar function brought through in the ultimate mix. Funicello consequently left to create Manowar with Joey DeMaio in 1981, but Shakin’ Road continued for a short while with ex-Thrasher guitarist Andrew ‘Duck’ McDonald, before finally disbanding. Their second recording demonstrated an undiscovered traditional of the metallic genre and became very much popular by enthusiasts. A reunion concert, offering Shine, Lewy, Winter season, Kalinowski, Funicello and Norbert Krief of Trust, occurred in 2004.
