Shadow Band

A play on the word for an atmospheric sensation encircling solar eclipses, Darkness Band took its 21st hundred years neo-psychedelia as very much from Uk as American affects, using a post-Zombies swirl of guitars, vintage tips, tambourines, skillet flutes, and lingering smoke cigarettes. The group emerged together around primary songwriter and NJ indigenous Mike Bruno, previous leader from the Dark Magic Family Music group collective, which self-released a small number of albums in the first 2010s. Bruno relocated to Philadelphia, so that as a normal lineup solidified, they begun to go by Darkness Band. People included multi-instrumentalist Sean Yenchick, bassist Adam Christy, drummer Matt Marchesano, regular Weyes Bloodstream collaborator Jacob Brunner, and finally Michigan natives Morgan Morel and Jules Nehring. After several four-track cassette recordings, the ensemble attemptedto make a full-length record in an effective studio, but discontinued the idea in just a matter of times with the contract of their label. The producing home-recorded debut LP, Wilderness of Like, premiered in Feb 2017 via Mexican Summer time.
