The Atlanta-based quintet Sevendust became among the rising acts in later-’90s rock with an aggressive mixture of bottom-heavy riffs and soulful, accessible melodies. The music group, made up of frontman Lajon Witherspoon, John Connolly (electric guitar), Clint Lowery (electric guitar), Vince Hornsby (bass), and Morgan Rose (drums), initial made an appearance in 1995 as Crawlspace, launching the one “My Spoil” for the Mortal Kombat: Even more Kombat recording. Quickly thereafter, the group transformed its name to Sevendust and released a self-titled debut in 1997. 2 yrs afterwards, the bandmates released the gold-selling House and performed over 800 displays alongside such groupings as Creed, plus a visit Woodstock ’99.
