Jazz vocalist Pamela Laws and regulations met bassist Nancy Hess in Berkeley, CA, in 1991. Both strike it off and started playing acoustic times around North California. They later on went electrical, adding guitarist Ken Weller and drummer Matt Boudreau. Seven Day time Diary started to experiment the Bay Region, and released the Shape Six EP. Warner Bros., responding to heavy university airplay, authorized the music group, re-released the EP and, in 1995, released Pores and skin and Blister.
