Serum

Serum came jointly in Boston, MA in 1994 when Irish-born vocalist/guitarist Siobhan McAuley from the Trojan Ponies reunited with her ex – bandmate, drummer Jason Dumont. With ex-Hullabaloo guitarist (Tag Lax) and Boston Herald rock and roll critic/Dirt Crimson bassist Tristram Lozaw, who fulfilled McAuley while interviewing her for articles, this quartet attempt to make moody and deeply textured pop rock and roll melodies. Lax and Lozaw had been changed by Chris Blue and Chip Sheppard in 1998. That same season the band’s debut record, Dirty Female Scout, featuring all original members, premiered in the band’s own Dark Egg Information label.
