Biography
The very first ever Turkish winner from the Eurovision Track Contest, Sertab Erener was created in Istanbul on Dec 4, 1964, and worked alongside singer Sezen Aksu before starting her own career in the late ’80s. She produced her 1st appearance within the Turkish nationwide Eurovision Track Competition qualifying competition in 1989, and once again in 1990, before liberating her debut recording in 1992, Sakin Ol (RELAX). Further long-players adopted — Lâ’l (Ruby Wines) in 1994, Sertab Gibi (Like Sertab) in 1996, Sertab Erener in 1999, Sertab in 2000, and Turuncu (Orange) in 2001 — alongside the strike singles “Hard Girl” in 1999, “Utanma” (AVOID BEING Timid) and “Bu Yaz” (COME EARLY JULY) in 2000, and “Yeni” (New) in 2001. By enough time Erener was chosen to represent Turkey on the 2003 Eurovision Tune Competition, she was tightly established one of the country’s most widely used performers. Aided by way of a truly memorable visible functionality, Erener’s “Every Method That I COULD” won your competition and continued to best the graphs across European countries. “Every Method That I COULD” was also voted the ninth ideal Eurovision song ever on the 2006 Great job Eurovision broadcast, marking the festival’s 50th wedding anniversary. Erener’s initial English-language record, No Boundaries, implemented in 2004, associated with the strike “I REALLY BELIEVE (WHICH I Find Like in You),” while her haunting edition of Bob Dylan’s “YET ANOTHER Sit down elsewhere” was highlighted within the soundtrack towards the film Masked and Anonymous. In 2005 the record Aþk ?-lmez, Biz ?-lürüz (Like Doesn’t Die, We Perform) premiered, and further strikes arrived using the name monitor, “Satýlýk Kalpler Þehri” (Town of Hearts on the market), along with a cover of Madonna’s “Music” (contained in the soundtrack to movie director Fatih Akýn’s acclaimed film Crossing the Bridge: The Audio of Istanbul). The greatest-hits collection THE VERY BEST of Sertab Erener was released in 2007.
